Our finished poster.
Colour scheme: Our colour scheme varied across specific areas of the poster, however we included the colour typically associated with horror. For example we used the feature of blood that served to stand out agaisnt the bright 20 pound notes and furthermore the background effect we used that consisted of black and grey also was included to give the poster a gritty decaying aspect. Although we did not plan to use white that predominatly we found it worked extremely well agaisnt the now darker background and worked much better in terms of visibility instead of a black or white font.
Our main image: The image consists of a scattered pile of money that has been stained with blood. Furthermore a knife is seen in the picture and serves to vaguely present our antagonist to the viewer in a sly fashion. We feel that this image relates directly to our production in terms the primary focus of the plot (money) and the characteristics of our antagonist.
Manditory features: We included a piece of text that is a play on words of the production title. We have substituted the price of money for the price of human life which highlights the violence in our production and once again highlights the key aspects of our plot that are revealed in the trailer.
We also included a brief star rating from the "Guardian" (an English newspaper) of 5 stars which will be useful in presenting our production as a highly credited movie that may persuade viewers to experience the film who were previously unsure of its potential.
The release date has also been included as a nessecary feature with the purpose of informing our viewers when the film we be available in cinemas. However rather than simply post the release date we have made it more engaging by using the personal pronoun of "you". This will prompt the reader to feel the production is being aimed as his or herself and therefore they will be more eager to view the production in light of it aquiring his or her tastes.
Finally we have acknowledged those who contributed to our production at the bottom of the poster (as conventions state). We have given the information of the writer, director, actors etc as well as the production company "Twisted Pictures". It serves as a basis for basic information regarding the film that is relevant to the viewer as fans of "Twisted Pictures" or the cast may be swayed in terms of viewing our production in light of their expectations due to their familiarity with those involved.
